I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:
April 16, 1959 Oxford Journal:
Many friends were saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Euda Chase at the home of her son, Mr. Harry W. Chase, and Mrs. Chase, at the age of 88 years. The widow of the late Avard Chase, she was born at Hansford and was formerly Miss Euda Knight. For many years Mrs. Chase filled an important place in the life of this community, being very active in several ladies' organizations. During World War I, she was an active worker in the local Red Cross and this interest in community affairs continued through the many years she was a member of the Oxford Women's Institute. For many years she was prominent in the Rebekah Lodge and was a member of Colfax Lodge No. 7 in Oxford. She is survived by one daughter, Nellie (Mrs. M. MacLeod) of Pugwash Jct.; and three sons, Harry of Oxford; Lewis of Halifax and Lloyd of Windsor. The funeral was held at Black's Funeral Home yesterday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. Clifford Moase, pastor of Trinity United
Church. Burial took place in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
Hope this helps someone,
Gerry
