Obit (1993) - George Harlan KING

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

July 21, 1993 Oxford Journal:
Guelph, Ont. - The death of George Harlan King occurred at Guelph Memorial Hospital on May 22, 1993, age 90.  Born at Mt. Pleasant, Cumb. Co., N.S., he was the son of the late Maynard and Mary Catherine (Mattinson) King.  He moved to Cookstown, Ont. and was employed as oil stoker on the lake boats until his retirement.  He is survived by his wife, the former Stella Allen; two daughters, Irene (Mrs. Raymond Willigar), Burlington, Ont.; Dorothy (Mrs. Albert Evans), Hawkestone, Ont.; five sons, Leon and Harold, Guelph; Donald and Alton, Hamilton; William, Kitchener; one sister, Hazel (Mrs. Abe Williams), Oxford; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son, Vaughn; four brothers, Harry, Thomas, Alfred and Frank.  Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 26 at 2 p.m. from Wall-Constance Funeral Home.  The body was cremated and burial took place in Guelph Gardens.
