I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:
December 2, 1981 Halifax Chronicle Herald (received from Kathryn Jeffers):
RIVER PHILIP, Cumberland County - Harvel Alton Taylor, 68, of River Philip, died Monday in the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Williamsdale, Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Owen and Minnie (Sweet) Taylor. He spent most of his life in the lumber and trucking industry. Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Dickie; three daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Irvin Mitchell), Oxford; Mrs. Janey Porter, Dartmouth, and Mrs. Marla Ross, River Philip; a son, Carmen, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and three grandchildren. The body is in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, Oxford, where funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Keith Lyons officiating, assisted by Rev. Willard Lyons. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Elsie Bernice Taylor (April 28, 1915 - February 25, 2011)
Taylor, Elsie Bernice (Dickie) - 95, Amherst and formerly of River Philip, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 in Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Mount Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late James and Lina (MacDonald) Dickie. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Irving) Mitchell, Oxford; Janey (David) MacDougall, Lower Sackville; Marla Ross, River Philip; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton; son, Carman; brothers, Aubrey, Herbert, James and Carl Dickie; sisters, Ester Purdy and Inez Dickie. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, February 27, with funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, February 28, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (447-2930), with Rev. Bert Collins officiating.
