Re: George Dow Morwick of Advocate

Hi Deb:

THANKS. Myrtle Evelyn Bentley was age 8 when her mother, Clara Evelyn
Merriam died, 15 Aug 1895, leaving Myrtle and six of her Bentley full
siblings without a mother.

Her widower father, George Edward Bentley m/2 Ida Crowe on 22 Jul 1896 with
issue of at least 10 more Bentley half-siblings to Myrtle.

As step-mother, Ida Crowe was possibly the only mother Myrtle remembers,
however, Ida¹s nee surname, Pettis has to be in error in lieu of Crowe. With
16 full siblings and half-siblings in a household, I¹m surprised Myrtle knew
her step-mother¹s first name.

This is a great start to solving the mystery. I have some Bentley and
Morwick obits to look up , possibly Tuesday ay the Archives.

Thanks again for your help .

Dave
