Grant - Roney Marriage; Advocate related

I believe John Emerson Grant to be s/o John Emery Grant and Maria Isabel
McLellan, both from Advocate.

I believe Maria Isabel McLellan to be d/o Archibald Thompson McLellan and
his m/3, Eunice Ann Allen. That would make Maria a half-sister to the Robert
Baxter McLellan of recent postings.

John Emery Grant and Maria Isabel McLellan possibly married somewhere in
Mass. as their first daughter, Janie [Elizabeth Jane] Grant was born
Chelsea, Mass. (see George Kelley- Janie Grant marriage, 16 Jul 1913,
Springhill). John and Maria and family later appear to have returned to
Advocate before 1901, living with his in-law McLellen's, as later children
are born in Advocate from some of the delayed registered birth applications
and the 1911 Census. Many of these children appear to have migrated up to
Springhill where they married.
