AMHERST - Conrad Mariner Spence, 56, of 67 Charles Street, died Friday in Highland View Regional Hospital. Born in Springhill, he was a son of Arthur R. Spence of Springhill and the late Jessie (Johnson) Spence. He was a retired car salesman formerly employed at several dealerships throughout the area. He was a member of the Alexander Masonic Lodge No. 87, the Saint John Ambulance Brigade and the Amherst Wildlife Association. He served with the Royal Canadian Armed Service Corps during the Second World War. Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Gordon; a daughter Carole (Mrs. Gerald Wilson), Amherst; two brothers, Warren, Amherst; Derrell, Springhill; and two grandsons. The body is at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst where funeral will be today at 2 p.m., Rev. Donald Linkletter officiating. Burial will be in Mapleton cemetery.
