Obit (1980) - Harold C. JOHNSON

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

Aug. 18, 1980 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
PORT PHILIP, Cumberland County - Harold C. Johnson, 73, of Port Philip died in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash, Sunday.  He was a son of the late Harry C. and Effie (Walker) Johnson and a lifelong resident of Port Philip.  He was a master of Acadia Lodge No. 13 AF and AM and patron of Sunrise Chapter No. 50, Order of the Eastern Star.  Surviving are his wife, the former Elma Rogers, Collingwood; a son Robert H., Waverley, a daughter Janice (Mrs. Eldon Mundle), Pugwash; a sister, Mrs. Anne Sherriff, Truro; seven grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.  The body is in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash.  Funeral Service will be in the Wesley St. Matthew's Church, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. John Powell officiating, with burial in Rockley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart Fund or memorial of choice.
