FILLMORE, Frances Evelyn - 50, Oxford Junction, Cumberland Co., died May 31, 1997, in Northern Carleton Hospital, Bath, N.B. Born in Oxford, she was a daughter of the late Seymour L. and Lily A. (Tingley) Jeffers. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Oxford Junction, and an elder and member of the session of Oxford-Thomson Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada. She was a past president and member of St. Andrew's UCW and was the secretary of the UCW at the time of her death. She was president of Thomson Cemetery and secretary of Oxford-Pugwash unit of Canadian Cancer Society. She was a past girl guide and brownie leader. She was the manager of the floral exhibits of the Cumberland County Exhibition. She was an avid card player. Surviving are her husband, Eugene F.; daughter, Cheryl A. (Mrs. Ian Mackintosh), Salem, Cumberland Co.; son, Thomas E., Mansfield, Cumberland Co.; sister, Mrs. Ruth Halliday, Little River,
Cumberland Co.; brothers, Hugh, Mount Pleasant, Cumberland Co.; Arnold, Barriere, B.C.; Neil, Little River, Cumberland Co.; two grandchildren; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by son, Kevin Wade in infancy. Visitation Tuesday afternoon and evening in Allen's Funeral Home, Oxford. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's United Church, Oxford Junction, Rev. Lorraine Lambert officiating. Burial in Thomson Cemetery. Donations to St. Andrew's United Church memorial fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Highland View Regional Hospital Above and Beyond Campaign or any charity.
