EMBREE, Madeline Zenda - 82, 2615 Northwood Terrace, Halifax, formerly of Lorneville, died May 29, 1996, in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Tidnish, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle (Baxter) Jackson. She was a former member of Lorneville United Church and WMS; life member of Pythian Sisters Elizabeth Temple 6, Amherst and member of Rebekah Lodge, Halifax. She had worked as a personal care worker for many years in Amherst and Halifax. She also worked as a clerk at Woolworth's, Amherst and Eatons, Halifax. Surviving are daughters, Doreen (Mrs. William MacIvor), Tidnish Bridge; Myrtle (Mrs. Charles Wagner), Waverley; son, Donald, Halifax; sister, Mrs. Marion Helpard, Amherst; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Beth Wagner. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, Rebekah Lodge service 7 p.m. tonight, both in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Cumberland
Memorial Chapel, Amherst, Rev. Carol Gunn officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish Bridge. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or any charity.
