TRUEMANVILLE, Cumberland County - Mrs. Elsie Eliza Chapman, 88, of Truemanville died Wednesday in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Lorneville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Baxter) Jackson. She was a member of Head of Amherst United Church and a former organist and Sunday school teacher. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Aid. She is survived by two daughters, Irene (Mrs. Lloyd Wood), Lake Kilarney; Marion (Mrs. Vincent Embree), Amherst; four sons, Curtis, Amherst; Ronald, Head of Amherst; Glenn, Whycocomagh; Allison, Truemanville; two sisters, Ila Jackson, Braintree, Mass.; Mrs. Gertrude Bagnell, Quincy, Mass.; a brother, Lester, Halifax; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Percy; two sisters, Dorothy and Isabel; two brothers, Roy and Russell. The body is in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Lorneville United
Church, Rev. Kevin MacKenzie officiating, with burial in Lorneville Cemetery.
