Obit (1994) - Margaret S. GORDON (nee HUNTER)

Aug. 22, 1994 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
GORDON, Margaret S. - 88, Oxford, died August 21, 1994, in George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, N.B.  Born in Leamington, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Abram and Gladys (Stevens) Hunter.  She was a member of the Oxford legion ladies auxiliary; Pythian Sisters Lodge, Oxford and an adherent to Oxford United Baptist Church.  She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Mrs. Ritchie Matheson), Little River, Cumberland County; two sons, Hunter, Black River, Cumberland County; Steel, Oxford; brother, Barney, Moncton; sister, Mrs. Cora Jane Scott, Salt Springs, Cumberland County; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; two brothers, Alex MacLean (Mac), Lorne; sister, Ruth.  Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, Oxford, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Blair Holden officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.  Donations may be made to any
charity.
