Obit (1978) - Clarence E. GORDON

I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:

Oct. 2, 1978 Halifax Chronicle Herald:
OXFORD - Clarence E. Gordon, 89, of Oxford, died Saturday in Highland View Hospital, Amherst.  Born in Black River, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Gay and Emma (Wood) Gordon.  Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Hunter; a daughter Carol (Mrs. Richie Mattenson), Little River; two sons, Hunter and Steele, both of Oxford; six sisters, Gaynell (Mrs. Bill Rawlston), Winnipeg; Mrs. Lyde Williams, California; Alice (Mrs. Elwood MacLean), Harvey Station, N.B.; Estella (Mrs. Herb Graves), London, Ont.; Muriel (Mrs. Gerald Gilderson), Parrsboro; two brothers, Ken, Oxford; Ross Philadelphia.  He was predeceased by a sister Martha and three brothers, Stanley, Albert and Howard.  The body is at MacDiarmids Funeral Home, Oxford, where funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Edgar Patriquin and Dr. T.B. McDormond officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Oxford.
