I don't think the following obituary has been posted before:
July 22, 1992 Oxford Journal:
Gladys Emma Mitchell, 97, Glenview Lodge, Truro, formerly of Oxford, died July 14, in the lodge. Born in Middleboro, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Eliza Jane (O'Brien) Howard. She was a member of Oxford United Baptist Church and WMS. She is survived by two daughters, Marion (Mrs. Clayton Miers), Truro; Rhoda (Mrs. Eugene Thompson), Saint John, N.B.; two sons, Donald, Pugwash; Edward, Kingston, Ont.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard T.; sister, Rhoda O'Brien; two brothers, Roy, Wilfred. The body was in Allen's Funeral Home, Oxford, where funeral service was held Friday, Rev. Ross Howard officiating, assisted by Rev. Blair Holden. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
