Since Capt. Joseph Winter/s (born in Spencer’s Island 21 Oct 1838) and his
descendents are on my lineage, I have Loran Redden as an adopted son, not a
son.

This might be in lieu of the following tragic incident:

*** Aunt Ida also settled in Binghamton, New York. She was the one who was
in the Klondike, Yukon. Her first husband was there with her. His name was
Will Corkum. They had a son named Lloyd, who was scalded very badly and died
when he was two years and four months old and buried in Hueston's Cemetery
in Blomidon, near Grandpa and Grandma Winters. William Corkum was from
Scott's Bay. He and Aunt Ida were divorced and he settled in Seattle,
Washington and married again and is buried out there.

Aunt Ida married again and her husband's name was Ernest Slokum. He was an
American and a member of the Binghamton police force all his life.***

Capt. Joseph Winter’s grandson, Everett Wilson Winters (1907-1999) wrote a
booklet on their branch oh the Winters family in 1985 and the above mention
of Lloyd Corkum was in it.

Sorry, I have no birth or death date but feel Lloyd Corkum was born and died
sometime between 1896 and 1901.

I have visited Huestin Cemetery in Blomidon once but at the time was looking
for “Winter/Winters” headstones, not “Corkum”.

I have William and Ida as divorcing with William m/2 a Genevieve (?) and Ida
m/2 about 1905 in the U.S., an Ernest Slocum, a Binghamton, New York Police
