PETTIGREW, EMMERSON L. - 93, of Parrsboro passed away on Thursday,
October 27, 2011 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper
Nappan. Born in New Prospect, he was a son of the late Robert and Ellen
(Rector) Pettigrew. He is survived by daughters, Joan MacLean (Vernon),
Victoria, B.C.; Tammy Taylor (Richard Gagnon), Amherst; step-son, Tony
Vienneau, Parrsboro; son-in-law, Gary 'Gig' Taylor, Parrsboro; 3
grandchildren, Brenda Tombu, Jennifer and Jeremy Taylor; 3 great
grandchildren, Geoffrey and Steven MacLean, Justin Tombu; 2 great-great
grandchildren, Jayden and Carson MacLean. He was predeceased by his
wife, the former Levida Chandler; a daughter and son in infancy; a
sister, Elsie; brothers, William and Arnold; step-brother, Tom Rector; a
grandson, Warrant Officer Glenn MacLean. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Saturday
[October 29, 2011] at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro where funeral
service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday [October 30, 2011], Rev. Greg Doyle
officiating. Burial in the Parrsboro United Cemetery. Memorial donations
may be made to a charity of choice.
