Obit: MacIver, James C

*A stray Cumberland County-born gentleman:

Baddeck - James C. MacIver, 91, died Thursday, August 13, in Victoria
County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Maccan, N.S., he had lived in
Baddeck for the greater part of his life. He was a 50 year member of St.
Mark's Masonic Lodge. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret, in 1935, Mr.
MacIver is survived by one daughter, Lexina (Mrs. J. K. Morrison), Beinn
Bhreagh, two sons, Henry, North Sydney; and Dannie, Sydney. also one
sister, Tena, in Los Angeles, Calif. His son Billie died in 1958, and
his daughter Margaret died one week ago. His body rests at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Morrison, at Beinn Bhreagh. Funeral services will be
held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Greenwood United Church, Baddeck.
