BOSS, Alice J. -- 72, of Attleboro, Mass., and formerly of Parrsboro, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011, in Attleboro. Born in West Bay, Cumberland
Co., she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Reta (Bennett) Willigar. Following her graduation from Parrsboro Regional High School, she worked with the CIBC in Parrsbo­ro, Amherst and Moncton. Following her marriage to Jerry Boss, she with her young family moved to Attleboro, Mass., where she worked with Texas Instruments until her retirement. Left to mourn, son, Jerry Jr. and grandson, Jason (Jen); son, David and grandson, Leo, all of Attleboro; sisters, Viola (Floyd deceased) Davis, Maisie (John deceased) Skidmore, both of Parrsbo­ro; Judy (Ted) Durning, Economy; brothers, Trueman (Mary), Five Is­lands; Carl (Suzann), Parrsboro; Dou­glas (Sharon), Back Bay, N.B.; Roy (Cora deceased), Surrey, B.C.; sister-­in-law, Roberta Willigar, Parrsboro; sister-in-law, Diane (Ralph) Hayden, Moncton; brother-in-law, Allan (Loret­ta) Boss, Attleboro; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry, in 2006; brother, Lloyd; two sisters and two brothers in infancy. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in West Bay at a later date. Memorial do­nations may be made to Christ Church, West Bay.

BOSS, Gerald G. "Jerry" - 70, Attleboro, Mass., formerly of Springhill, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, after a short illness. Born in Springhill on October 27, 1935, he was a son of the late Richard M. and Marie C. (Lockhart) Boss. Jerry was a coal miner for several years in Springhill until settling in Attleboro in 1962. He was employed as a forklift operator at Texas Instruments in Attleboro until retiring in 1998. Jerry was an elite athlete and excelled in all sports he played, including bowling, softball and hockey. Jerry began his hockey career in his home town of Springhill in the minor hockey program. His goal scoring ability and his intense desire to win made him one of the top players in every league from minor hockey to the Amherst Ramblers, making it to the Allan Cup Seniors Championship Finals on two occasions. Jerry also enjoyed his other hobbies of gardening, visiting his summer cottage in Parrsboro, and supporting his beloved Boston Red Sox and New ngland Patriots. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, the former Alice J. Willigar; sons, Gerald E. Boss and David B. Boss; grandsons, Jason Boss and Leo McKenzie; brother, Allan (Loretta) Boss, all of Attleboro; sister, Diane (Ralph) Hayden, Moncton; special cousin, Doug Lockhart, Springhill; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Margaret (Packer) Boss. Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 14, in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, with Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to the reception area of the funeral home for refreshments and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre would be appreciated.
