1) Re Anne Eliza Churchill: Do you have her obituary? If not, here is the publication date for an obituary from the Halifax Chronicle Herald:
-- Mrs. Annie Wells (Amherst) - obit. publ. on Mar 25, 1964
I don't know if this is your great-grandmother or not but if it is, it may give the information that you seek.
You should be able to get a copy of her obituary for a nominal cost from Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management, The Chronicle Herald, or Spring Garden Road Public Library in Halifax.
2) Re Sarah Angus Hicks: Her marriage registration (indexed as Agnes Hilks) lists her parents as William & (Ruth?) and, interestingly, suggests she was born about about 1894. Then there is the 1911 census for Amherst: It lists Sarah A. Hicks (dau. of William & Ruth) born Jan 1897 in NB. And the 1901 census for Sackville lists A. Ruth Hicks (dau. of William & A. Ruth), born Jan 27, 1897 in NB (rural).
And, finally, Public Archives of New Brunswick has the 1890 marriage registration for William H. Hicks (age 22) to Ruth Ada Grant (age 28).
Hope this helps,
Gerry

Subject: [nscumber] Anne Eliza Church Hill & Susan Angus Hicks
Hi,
I am trying to solve a mystery that is driving me bonkers. Both my great grandmothers on my dad's side of the family have no information on who their parents were.
1) Anne Eliza Churchill born August 1885 in New Brunswick (it's been argued that she is originally from NFLD and her mother's name was Hattie but the NFLD archives have nothing on her it seems) and died 1964 either in Tidnish NB or Amherst NS. She was married to Prescott Winslow Wells Dec 25 1907 in New Brunswick.
2) Sarah Angus Hicks born 1889 in New Brunswick and died 1941 in Amherst. She was married to Warren Leon Hoeg in Amherst Sept 1 1915.
Thanks for any help.
