Penny,
There is a headstone in Thomson Cemetery listing:
David Stewart, 1824-1900
His Wife, Jane C. McDougall, 1826-1912
Their Child, Emma U. died Sept 1862 aged 9 months.
and the same stone also lists:
In loving remembrance of John C. Stewart, 1863-1917; his wife, Marilla Mattinson, 1861-1913.
Do you recall where you learned the middle name for Emma Euphemia Stewart?
Gerry

Subject: [nscumber] re: Joshua B Stewart etal
I noticed that in the obits of both Joshua B. and John C Stewart, there was no mention of either of their two predeceased sisters, Susannah P. and Emma Euphemia. Emma died as a child b. Jan 1862 d. Sept 1862. Susannah P [ 1856 –1900] . Susannah was the first wife of Charles Adam Burnett Purdy[1852-1938] whom she married on 19 Oct 1877 . After she died Charles married Sophie Johnson on 12 Jun 1901, [ b.1864-d.1935] d/o Edwin Johnson and Elizabeth Urquhart. Sophie Johnson was first married to Charles Fraser..Charles Purdy, Sophie, and Susannah are all buried in Millvale Baptist Cemetery.
Source for the burials: Cemeteries of Cumberland Co. by Murray L.Keating.
