L. John Louis Estabrooks (October 30, 1960 - October 14, 2011)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late L. John Estabrooks
age 50 announce his passing on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Amherst, he was
a son of Margaret (Marks) Estabrooks of Amherst and the late John
McNutt. John was employed with East Coast Catering on a gas rig off
Sable Island and was previously employed with Ropak in Springhill,
Oxford Frozen Foods and in his earlier years worked for Save Easy and
McDonalds. He enjoyed computers, spending time with his son Daniel and
hosting barbecues for his extended family. John will be sadly missed by
his wife the former Joanne Henderson and his son Daniel. He is also
survived by a sister Valinda (Raymond) Stewart of Amherst and two
brothers Robert (Charlene) and Jimmy both of Amherst and nieces and
nephews. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 2
p.m. from Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906)
with Rev. Byron Corkum Officiating. Interment will follow in the Amherst
Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations in John's memory may
be made to Palliative Care Unit or the Cancer Assistance Fund of
Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation. Online condolences may be
