Re Reuben Rector and Angeline or Elizabeth Pugsley
I think Reuben's wife was Angeline Elizabeth. Her name flips back and forth in the 5 available census returns for Cumberland County:
1871: Reuben Rector (31) & wife Angeline (30) - Maccan, Fam #189
1881: Reuben Rector (46) & wife Elizabeth (38) - Maccan, Fam #17 with son Gilbert (10)
1891: Reuben Rector (63) & wife Angeline (48) - Maccan, Fam #171 with son Frederick (22)
1901: Ruben Rector (70) & wife Angeline (58) - Southampton, Fam #7; Ruben born 03-Apr-1831, Angeline born 29-Jul-1843.
1911: Ruben Rector (78) & wife Elizabeth (66) - Southampton, Fam #22; Ruben born Apr 1833 & Elizabeth born Jul 1844.
The children listed in the 5 census returns suggests that these are the same family.

I am having difficulty sorting out the various Reuben Rectors. I have one whose marriage is as follows:
Elsabeth Pugsley and Reuben Rector marriage bond 1863 in Cumberland County
Item can be found in Registration Year: 1863 - Book: 1800 - Page: 11942
I believe they are the parents of Frederick Gilbert Rector whose marriage is as follows:
Annie J. Henwood and G. Frederick Rector married 1897 in Cumberland County
Item can be found in Registration Year: 1897 - Book: 1810 - Page: 172 - Number: 105
This certificate shows his mother as Angeline, not Elisabeth or Elizabeth.
His birth certificate also says Angeline is his mother
Halfway River, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia
Province of Nova Scotia -Item can be found in Registration Year: 1871 - Book: 1805 - Page: 157 - Number: 429.
DOB on his death certificate is slightly different but same month and year
Can anyone clarify?
