DEWAR, Jack - In loving memory of Jack Dewar, 73 years, who passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre with his wife and children at his side. Beloved husband of Joyce (Stillar) Dewar. Loving father of Gerry, wife Rica (Cerilli), Cathy, husband Chris Zinn and Doug, partner Pam Jacobs. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren DeAndra, Jillian, Denver, Brett and Sophia. Predeceased by his parents John and Florence Dewar. Dear brother of Eleanor Marck (husband Jack predeceased), Eileen Hope (husband Walter), Verna Pettis (husband Ernie), Carl Dewar (wife Deborah), Jeannine Berney- Kottick (husband Walter) and Mike Dewar (wife Margaret). Jack came to Sudbury from Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia in 1953. He then started his career in the automobile industry. Jack went on to proudly own and operate along with his 2 sons Duhamel & Dewar on Barrydowne Road. Jack also had a love for the game of golf. He was a member of the Idlywylde Golf and Country Club, and could be seen every Wednesday for men's night and also on the weekends with his grandsons playing a round. Jack was a highly respected man and a true gentleman. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. At Jack's request there will be no public visitation. A private ceremony was held at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch Street on Tuesday, April 17th, 2007. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
