Obit: BEECHTELLER, William Sterling

BEECHTELLER, William Sterling - passed away at the Welland General Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2011 in his 89th year. Born in Cardinal, ON February 12, 1922, Mr. Beechteller came to Port Colborne with his parents in 1923. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during W.W. II. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #56 Port Colborne and the Canadian Corps. He retired from Maple Leaf Mills in 1987 after 47 years of service. He is predeceased by his wife Leona (Bonnie) Hurley, his love of 60 years (born Maccan, Nova Scotia) and by daughter Sheila Anne, parents William and Ruby Beechteller, sisters Mildred and Helen and brother Burness. He will be sadly missed by his son William (Judy), daughter Linda (Les Dayboll). Also survived by his grandchildren Lisa, Billie-Jo, Michell, Dave, Wendy and Steve and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. There will be a family graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
