Obit: HENWOOD, Norma Olivia [née McARTHUR]

HENWOOD, NORMA OLIVIA Norma O. Henwood of Harvey, NB passed away January
13, 2007 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Springhill, NS in
1936, she was a daughter of Thelma G. (Gilroy) McArthur and the late
Alfred McArthur. Norma loved dancing and the fiddle doo's, gardening and
growing flowers which she shared with everyone, reading stories and
especially her Bible. Even with her failing eyesight, she enjoyed making
her handicrafts. Norma enjoyed her trailer at the beach in Pugwash, NS
and driving anywhere in the car with George at the wheel. 'Chicky, gonna
miss ya babe.' Norma is survived by her husband, George T. Henwood; a
son, G. Alfred Henwood, Abbotsford, BC; a daughter, Janet Lee Smith
(David), Pictou, NS; her mother, Thelma Grace McArthur of Lincoln; three
grandchildren, Nathan Smith (Cindy), Edmonton, AB, Travis Smith,
Calgary, AB and Dusti Willow Henwood, Langley, BC; two sisters, Lillian
Lockhart (Ian), Erin, ON and Loretta Turnbull, Garson, ON; three
brothers, Edward McArthur (Georgina), Lincoln, Lloyd McArthur,
Saskatoon, SK and Gordon McArthur (Donna), Kentville, NS; several nieces
and nephews. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station
with visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service
will be held at Oromocto Baptist Church, Doyle Drive, Oromocto on
Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jeff Benson
officiating. Interment will be later at Rodney Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Norma, the family has
suggested the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian National
