pretty summer wedding Saturday evening, June 27th at 7:30, when Rev. Desmond
McConnell united in marriage Dianna Margaret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewis
Ross of Springhill and Clarence Boyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Copp of
Parrsboro.

Marjorie Ella Ross 1922-2010
Marjorie Ella Ross 87 years of Springhill, passed away on Friday, October 8,
2010 in Gables's Lodge, Amherst. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of
the Late William M. and Margaret (Porter) Mattix. She was an adherent of St.
Andrews Wesley United Church, Springhill, and a member of UCW, Unit 1. She
is survived by daughters, Dianne (Boyd) Copp, Vanderhoof, BC and Bonnie
Kierstead, Halifax; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and
eight great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Dewis
Ross; sons William and James; sister, Ina; brother, William, granddaughter
Valerie. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A Memorial
Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 12, 2010, from the Funeral
Home, with The Reverend David Lloyd Pearce officiating. Burial in Hillside
Cemetery, Springhill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may
