I have Raymond born 28 Mar 1925 so that makes him the correct age.
Odd I couldn¹t locate his obit in the nscumber archived obits. Found his
brother who died 1 month earlier though.

PORTER, Randolph R. "Bud" - 74, Springhill, died Saturday, April 21, 2001,
in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Springhill, he was a son of
the late Victor and Fauline (Sterling) Porter. He was a member of Branch 17,
Royal Canadian Legion, Springhill and he had served two and a half years
overseas following the Second World War. He is survived by son, Richard
Linkletter, Truro; brother, Reg, Springhill; sister, Mrs. Charles Hopkins,
Sackville. He was predeceased by brothers, Frederick, Victor, Sterling and
Hollis. Cremation has taken place under the direction of MacDiarmid's
Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford. No visitation or funeral service.
Burial will be at a later date.
