The official opening of the Senior Citizens apartments at Collingwood was held this morning at
10:30 a.m.
Mines and Energy Minister Ron BARKHOUSE presented an Energy Award to Gary GORDON, president of
Gordon's Greenhouses Ltd., Oxford, in recognition of the company's achievements in the field of
energy conservation.
Carol E. PATTERSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.S. Patterson, Pugwash, graduated August 16 from
the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing. She was chosen the winner of the Eileen Boland Prize,
awarded to the student who has shown exceptional performance in theory and clinical practice.
Jenetta NIX, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Churchill Nix, Collingwood, graduated from the Victoria
General Hospital School of Nursing on August 17.

of the late Vernon and Ethel (Adshade) Weatherbee. Survived by wife of 51 years, the former
Lorraine Dill; sisters Carol (Ron) Payne, Toronto; Linda Weatherbee, Springhill. Predeceased by

Funeral was in Ontario on September 28, 2010. Survived by wife Doris (Rogers); children Bradley

Joanne, Ontario; sister-in-law Carolyn Harris, Nictaux Falls.
