Ronald Ivan Mattinson 1942-2011
The death of Ronald Ivan Mattinson, 69, of Oxford occurred suddenly in
his home on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Ronald was a son of Ivan and
Ferne Mattinson of Oxford. Ron was a hard worker. He had been in
construction for thirty years and had been self-employed for his last
ten years until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his sons,
Gregory (Brenda), of Oxford and Steven (Dawn), of Barrie, ON; one
sister, Beatrice (Carl) Brander of Amherst; six grandchildren, Jordan
(Ashley), Jacob, Blake, Cole, Dillan, Alyssa; and one niece, Sue (Ken)
Walker, Amherst. Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by an infant
brother, Douglas and one niece, Angela. Honoring his wishes, Ronald's
remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of W. Allen
Funeral Home, 60 Water Street, Oxford (447-2167). There will be no
visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday,
September 21, 2011 at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.
