JOHN FOWLER
TRURO, May 15, - The funeral of the late John Fowler of Tyndale Road, Amherst, was held from Furlong's Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, May 9, at 2:30 o'clock, attended by many relatives and friends.
Rev. H. K. Grimmer, pastor of First Baptist Church conducted the service. The choir with Mrs. Perry Rafuse as accompanist sang the hymns, "The Lord's My Shepherd", and "Abide With Me."
There were a number of floral tributes, letters and cards of sympathy.
The pall bearers were George Holmes, Albert Costin, William Forrest and Arnold McLellan.
Interment was made at Highland Cemetery, Amherst.
The deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Fowler of Amherst; five sisters; Jean of Amherst; Helen (Mrs. Earle Campbell), Amherst; Evelyn, (Mrs. Edward Marshall), Oxford; Dorothy, (Mrs. James Emslie) Trenton; Doreen (Mrs. Fred Mitchell), Trenton; and six brothers; Wilfred, Amherst Point; Harold, 14 Wood Street, Truro; Willis, Amherst; Monson, Trenton; David, Truro; and Percy of Trenton.
Among those from out of town attending the funeral in Amherst were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Marshall of Oxford; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fowler, Truro; Mr. and Mrs. Percy Fowler and Monson Fowler, Trenton; and Mrs. John Fowler of Enfield.
