Herbert Legere 1920-2011
*Herbert Joseph "Herbie" Legere*, 91, of Springhill, passed away on
Tuesday August 30, 2011 in High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born
in Springhill, he was a son of the Late Daniel and Beatrice (Noiles)
Legere. Herbie sold dry goods and tickets door to door for many, many
years and was a diehard Montreal Canadians hockey fan. He will long be
remembered for his catch phrase "Would you like to buy a ticket?" He
was a long time resident of the High Crest nursing home and will be
dearly missed by the residents and staff there. He was a die hard
Montreal Canadiens Fan.
He will be dearly missed by cousins and his family at High Crest Nursing
Home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill. A Memorial Service will
be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 15, 2011 at High Crest Nursing
Home, Springhill, with Father David MacDonald officiating.
