STOW - Olive "Thelma" (Rector) Holmes, 71, formerly of Johnston Way and Hudson, died Saturday night in Westridge Nursing Home, Northboro Road, Marlboro, after a long illness. She leaves her husband, J. Stewart Holmes of Stow; a son, James G. Holmes of Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada; a daughter, Donna Chapman of Littleton; three brothers, Frank Burke of Truro, Nova Scotia, Robert Burke of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and Jack Burke of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; two sisters, Margaret Mosher of Truro, Nova Scotia and Susan Grant of Westminster, Calif.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. She was born in South Hampton, Nova Scotia, and lived several years in Hudson and 12 years here before moving to Marlboro last year. Mrs. Holmes was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Truro. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. David C. Warren will officiate. There are no calling hours. James E. Watson & Son Funeral Home, 149 Water St., Clinton, is directing arrangements.

Note: I have her as Thelma Olive Burke of Southampton b. 30 January 1919. Does anyone know what the significance of Rector is? Was she married more than once?
