OBITUARY: Harold R. Taggart
Yarmouth - Harold R. Taggart, 68, of Lakeside Road, Yarmouth died Monday in
Yarmouth Hospital. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Hugh Taggart
and Alice Curtis. He was a Second World War seaman in the merchant marine.
He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Smith; a son, David,
Yarmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Ann E. Mills, Economy, Cumberland County; Mrs.
Irene Wentworth, Skowhegan, Maine; two brothers, Robert, Bass River; Hubert,
Lavet, Maine; three grandchildren. The body is at H.M. Huskilson's Funeral
Home, Yarmouth. Funeral service will be Thursday 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose
Cathedral, Rev. Raymond Woodworth officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of
Calvary Cemetery. A Legion service will be held tonight at 7:30. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
