OBITUARY:
Crossman, Leon Eric - 62, Hilden, Colchester County, died Friday in
Colchester County Hospital, Truro. Born in East Fraserville, he was a son of
the late John and Mable (White) Crossman. He was a retired heavy equipment
operator and roadbuilder having worked for several construction companies.
He is survived by his companion, Nellie Geddes, Hilden; two daughters,
Lorraine (Mrs. Barry Patriquin), Onslow Mountain; Sandra, Bible Hill; a
brother, Floyd, Moncton; three sisters, Violet Guthreau, Ontario; Eileen
(Mrs. Willis Collins), Spencer's Island; Mrs. Jeanette McCully, Port
Greville; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Lester. The
body is (word missing?) Mattatall's Funeral Home, Truro, visiting 2-4, 7-9
p.m. today, and where funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Valerie Kingsbury
officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fox River. Donations to Heart
and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.

OBITUARY
Crossman, Lester W. - 62, Advocate, died Friday in Victoria General
Hospital. Born in Brookville, he was a son of the late John and Mable
(White) Crossman. He was a lobster fisherman. He is survived by his wife,
the former Marjorie (Mills) Dunbar; a son, Ivan, Advocate; three
step-daughters, Jennie, Halifax; Susan and Etta, Advocate; three sisters,
Mrs. Violet Guthreau and Jeanette (Mrs. Allison McCully), both of Port
Greville; Eileen (Mrs. Willis Collins), Spencer's Island; a brother, Leon,
Truro; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, ***Doris***. The
body is in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, visiting 7-9 p.m. today. The
body will be transferred to Advocate United Church, visiting 7-9 p.m.
Sunday, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. Jean Mills
officiating. Burial will be in Advocate Cemetery. Donations may be made to
any charity.

Collins, Illeen L. - 64, Spencer's Island, Cumberland County, died March 29,
1995 in Bayview Memorial Hospital, Advocate. Born in Fraserville, Cumberland
County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mable (White) Crossman. She
was a member of the Advocate Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Willis; daughters, Diane (Mrs. Robert Fillmore),
Truro Heights; Rose (Mrs. Frank Collins-Messenger), Levittown, Penn.; sons,
Michael Willis, Jr.; Spencer's Island; Aldon, Advocate; Gary, Halifax;
Miles, Bedford; Charles, Apple River; sisters, Mrs. Violet Guthreau, Mrs.
Jeanette McCully, Port Greville; thirteen grandchildren. She was predeceased
by a sister, ***Doris***; brother, Lester. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Friday,
funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Advocate Baptist Church, Rev. Ralph
MacDonnell officiating. Burial to follow in Fraserville Cemetery. Donations
to any charity. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith's Funeral
Home, Parrsboro.
