Anyone know when her first hubby, Leon Eric Crossman died? He was alive in
Truro in 1989 when his brother, Lester died.
I believe this Darlene was married to Leon Eric Crossman (s/o John Hugh
Crossman, Port Greville (1894-1972) and Mabel Helena White, River Hebert
(1909-1981) on 16 Apr 1952 in United Church Parsonage, Advocate.

CROSSMAN, Darlene Dorothy - 72, Truro, passed away Friday, April 29, 2005,
in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Springhill, she was a
daughter of the late Peveral and Carrie Colburne. Darlene worked as a cook
with her first husband for R.K. Chapel Construction and later worked for
Standfield's Ltd., Truro, until her retirement. She is survived by
daughters, Lorraine (Barry) Patriquin, North River; Sandra Crossman, at
home; adoring grandchildren, Laura (Trevor) Otterson and Mike (Jan)
Patriquin; six adoring great-grandchildren; brother, David Rushton
(Jeanette), Amherst; half-brother, Wilfred Colburne, Ontario; sisters, Mrs.
Freda Miller, Halifax; Mrs. Donna Fraser, Amherst; Helen (Don) Johnson,
Moncton. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Crossman; her
common-law husband, Waldo Hutchinson; half-brother, Ira Colburne. Visitation
will be 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, both in Mattatall
Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. Ebbie Snow will officiate with a reception to
follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Bible Hill Cemetery. Family
flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Association of
Nova Scotia, Victorian Order of Nurses or a charity of choice. E-mail
