Ruby Katherine Brown
Brown, Ruby Katherine - 86, Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, passed away gently, August 20, 2003, surrounded by her family.
Born in Rouleau, Saskatchewan on December 28, 1916, she was the eldest child of the late John and May James. Ruby was an avid volunteer, a very gifted gardener and a dedicated Mother. She was always giving and helping others, but most of all she held a special place in her heart for children.
Ruby is survived by her children, Robert (Dee) James, Fredericton, N.B; Sharon (Lionel) Boomer, Falmouth, N.S.; Marg (Ken) Robinson, Hantsport, N.S.; grandchildren, Rob (Wendy), Yellowknife, N.W.T.; Sonya (Chuck), Fredericton, N.B.; Wayne (Mel), Waterville; Dana, Milton, Ont.; David (Veronica), Kentville; Ryan, Falmouth; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is survived by brothers, Ron (Mary) James, Kingston, Ont.; Bill (Mavis) James, Owen Sound, Ont. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; son, Garry; daughter, Maureen; sisters, Barb, Dorothy, and Audrey; brother, Norman. She leaves many nieces and nephews.
No visitation or service by request of the deceased. Burial of ashes in family plot in Oakville, Ontario at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Seniors Bus Fund, Dykeland Lodge or the charity of your choice. The family wish to thank the staff at Dykeland Lodge for their wonderful care of a special lady.
