BROWN, David H. - 79, Parrsboro, Cumberland Co., passed away Monday, March 31, 2003, at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Thomas and Bessie (Smith) Brown. He was a veteran of the Second World War and Korea. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 45, Parrsboro, and recently received recognition for his contribution to the Dutch Medal program. He was an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Lee; daughters, Linda Yorke (James), New Prospect; Irene MacKinnon (Bruce), Cole Harbour; Brenda Porter (Jim), Parrsboro; son, James (Lisa), Porters Lake; brother, George (Lynn), Rivers, Man.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy, Edith; brother, Tom. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday in Parrsboro Baptist Church, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
