OBITUARY: Eliza Mary Smith
Parrsboro, April 21 - The death of Eliza Mary Smith, widow of Albert E.
Smith of Parrsboro, and daughter of the late David Albert and Margaret Dewis
Smith, occurred at the home of her daughter, Ada, in Calgary, Alta., April
14. Her parents were early settlers at Kirk's Hill, Parrsboro, where she was
born 91 years ago. She resided here, where she was a highly respected
citizen, until the death some years ago of her husband. She is survived by
one son, M.D. Smith, Florida; four daughters, Mrs. Spinney, Belmont; Mrs.
Gourley, Los Angeles; Mrs. Caswell, Wellesley, Mass.; and Ada H. Smith,
Calgary, Alta.; and one sister, Mrs. T.R. Kirkpatrick, of Worcester, Mass.
There are also several grandchildren. Interment will be in Parrsboro in the
United Church Cemetery and the funeral service will be conducted by Rev.
Howard Hamilton.
