Katheryn Beauchamp
(July 11, 1958 - January 7, 2011)
BEAUCHAMP (Mattinson), Kathryn Ruby — 52, died at home in Lower Sackville, at 9:15 a.m. on January 7th, 2011, surrounded and cared for by loving family and friends. The cancer that had devastated her body failed utterly to conquer her spirit, and her consistently resolute and courageous outlook humbled us all. Kathy was a graduate of Sackville High School and attended Mount Saint Vincent where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After graduating from university she spent a successful 25 years with Revenue Canada. Kathy concluded her career there as a well-respected conflict resolution advisor, having received a special award for her "significant contribution in successfully enhancing the awareness of sound human resource practices." Should heaven and hell ever submit to arbitration, we can be sure Kathy will be there at the table, offering her well-honed expertise in the mediation efforts. Kathy was privileged to have been a member
of a very close and devoted family where, ultimately, all shared in the joys and sorrows of one. Left to mourn her untimely death are husband, Donald Beauchamp; daughter, Félicité and partner Mike Power; son, Kyle, his fiancee Bonnie Robertson and grandson, Jordan; mother and father, Rhetta and Donald Mattinson; sisters, Donna Dill (Greg), Lauren Williams (Wendell) and Gillean Mattinson; and brothers, Harry Mattinson (Debbie) and Avery Mattinson; sister-in-law, Lynne Beauchamp; and brothers-in-law, Guy Beauchamp (Guylaine), Daniel Beauchamp (Joseé); many nieces and nephews including, Margo Mattinson and Kathy's many friends, including her special "Soul Sister", Susan Beasley. Special thanks to all the caring staff at Cancer Care Unit of Dickson Center, the VG Site, QEII. Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home, Lower Sackville.
