Obit: NEVES, Gerald Lee

NEVES, Gerald Lee - Age67, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully,
surrounded by those who loved him deeply on December 30, 2010. Gerald
was born on April 26, 1943 in Apple River to Aubrey and Irene (Lunn)
Neves. Gerald was a dedicated family man who had an amazing faith. He
loved his wife, children, grandchildren and church more than anything
else. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nora. Sons Ian (Vicki) and
Shawn (Wendy); daughters Andrea (John) and Rhonda (Sunday);
grandchildren Jacqueline, Victoria, Courtney, Brianna, Travis, Darice,
Nathaniel, Olivia, Logan, Candice, and Malcolm; sisters Sylvia , Sheila,
Charlotte, and Marcia; brothers Nelson and Terry. Gerald's extended
family Robert, Augusta, Kristine, Kevin, Lina, Sophia and Victoria, his
Mexican granddaughter. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. In
lieu of flowers, it was Gerald's wish that memorial donations be made to
ALS Foundation in memory. Funeral service will be held 1 pm, Wednesday,
January 5, in the Apostolic Church (14 Strath Lane, Dartmouth).

Harbour. Born in Apple River, she was the daughter of the late Irving
and Laura (McWhirter) Lunn. She is survived by four daughters, Sylvia
Christensen, Vancouver; Sheila Shirley, Apple River; Charlotte Robarts,
Advocate Harbour; Marcia MacDougall, New Salem; three sons, Gerald,
Dartmouth; Nelson, Apple River; Terry, Parrsboro; a sister, Laura Ela,
Rockland, Mass.; 24 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She was
predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; a sister, Vertie; a brother,
Reginald. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith's Funeral Home,
Parrsboro, Dave Johnson of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Burial in
the Apple River Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of
choice.

OBITUARY:
Neves, Aubrey A. - 81, Apple River, Cumberland County, died Thursday in
South Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Parrsboro. Born in West Apple River,
he was a son of the late Abner and Charlotte (McElmond) Neves. He was a
retired farmer and lumberman. He is survived by his wife, the former
Irene Lunn; four daughters, Sylvia (Mrs. Eric Christenson), Vancouver;
Shelia (Mrs. Bernard Shirley), Apple River; Charlotte (Mrs. Thomas
Robarts), Advocate; Marcia (Mrs. Les McDougalll), New Salem; three sons,
Gerald, Dartmouth; Nelson, Apple River; Terry, Parrsboro; a sister, Nina
(Mrs. Glen Hilchie), Bedford; a brother, Eric, Dartmouth; 24
grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three
sisters, Flo, Merna, Hazel; two brothers, Elijah, Alban. The body is in
Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Today, and from
where funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Apple River
Cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.
