Yes, this info helps a lot. Do you think that the William BROWN,
boarder with WELTON, is Berton's father? The age is almost right
with 1891 census. If so, then Matilda must have died also by 1901. I
wonder what became of the younger children. Burtha, Susie and
Hattie would be 17, 16 and 13 respectively in 1901. Earlier, in
looking at the census, I saw a William BROWN, boarder, in Parrsboro
but I'm not sure if was this WELTON one. I'll check 1911. I
dismissed it at the time.
I'm going to be at the Archives on Tuesday, weather permitting. If
you are there too I'd like to say hello.
