BROWN, Percy Logan - 98, Mapleton, Cumberland Co., died March 20, 2000,
in the Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Mapleton,
Cumberland Co., he was a son of the late Everett and Ina D. (Bird)
Brown. He was a member of the Mapleton United Church and was a choir
member for 82 years. He was a self employed truck driver, worked with
the Department of Transportation and was a producer of maple sugar
products. He played several musical instruments and enjoyed his family.
Surviving are his wife, the former Julia Bertha Lowe; sons, Sterling,
Pugwash; Gordon, Mapleton; daughters, Louise Stewart, Saint John;
Norene, New Glasgow; sister, Almira Peasey, Georgetown, Ont.; nine
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter;
four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Laurie, Vernon; sisters,
Lola, Jennie, Beulah; one great-grandson. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today and
7-9 p.m. Wednesday, in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral 2
p.m. Thursday, in Mapleton United Church, Mapleton, Rev. Elizabeth
Davies officiating. Burial in Mapleton Cemetery, Cumberland Co., at a
later date. Family flowers only by request. Donations to any charity.
