OBITUARY

Newcaster - Viola May SIDDALL, 85, of Newcastle, died at Miramichi Hospital Friday, Sept. 28,
after a brief illness. Born in Westchester, she was a daughter of the late Eli and Dora
(Towner) Moore. Her husband, Clarence Siddal, died previously. She is survived by five
daughters, Mrs. Robert Renton (Julia) of Victoria, B.C., Mrs. Al MacDonald (Rhonda) of
Sackville, Mrs. Joseph Verner (Mary) of Saint John, Mrs. Jack Shippley (Bernice) of Toronto and
Mrs. John Grant (Avis) of Williamstown; two sons, Willis of Truro, N.S. and Edgar of Comox,
B.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Tom King (Elsie) of Oxford, N.S., Mrs. Wilfred Harpell (Della) of
Truro and Mrs. Logan McLean (Minnie) of Londonderry, N.S.; four brothers, Alfred and Benjamin,
both of Westchester, N.S.; Emerson of Oxford and Maynard of Wallace, N.S.; 34 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Sunday at 2 p.m. from
St. James and St. John's United Church, Newcastle. Interment was in Miramichi Cemetery. (From
