Michael Legere (December 14, 1961 - December 26, 2010)
With heavy hearts we announce the death of Michael Charles Legere, 49,
of Amherst which occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at
home. Born in Bathurst, NB, Michael was the only son of the late
Reginald Legere and Carmel Ann (Sauveur) Hickox. He leaves behind to
mourn his daughter, Gillian Carmel Legere, Calgary, AB; sister, Diana
Legere, Amherst; nephew, Evan Reginald Legere, Amherst; step dad, Ivan
Hickox, Amherst and extended Family. He was a long time worker for the
city of Calgary where he made his home for many years. Michael was a man
who loved the outdoors, nature, camping and skiing. Many of which were
spent with his long time furry companion Jasper. Cremation has taken
place and the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30,
2010 at 4:30 p.m. from Campbell's Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church St.,
Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Visitation one
hour prior to service. Donations in Michael's memory may be made to the

Carmel Ann Hickox August 3, 1942 - August 1, 2010 Carmel Ann Hickox
of Amherst passed away peacefully two days before her 68th birthday,
following a lengthy, yet courageous battle with cancer. Born in
Belledune, NB on August 3, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Stephen
and Audrey (Doucet) Sauveur. Carmel enjoyed fishing, spending time at
the camp, bird watching and spending time with her grandchildren and her
cat, Harley. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ivan, her
daughter, Diana Legere of Amherst, grandson, Evan Reginald, her son,
Michael Legere of Amherst, granddaughter, Jillian Carmel of Calgary.
Carmel is also survived by brothers Bernie (Yvonne), Charlie (Shirley),
Art (Gloria) and Donald "Ducky" (Pam) all of Amherst, sisters Betty
(Jim) Nelson, Pat (Ron) Robinson and Rose (Rick) Doucette and many
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Reginald
Legere, and two brothers Paul and Edward. Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitations. Funeral service will be held on Thursday,
August 5, 2010 at 2:30 pm from Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St.,
Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Memorial
donations in Carmel's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. www.campbells-amherst.ca
