OBITUARY: Mrs. Gladys B. MacAloney
Truro - Mrs. Gladys B. MacAloney, 70, of 11 Palmer Street, Truro, died
Tuesday at home. Born in Parrsboro, she was the former Gladys Blanche
MacAloney, the daughter of Charles & Hattie (MacAloney) MacAloney. She was a
member of St. John's Anglican Church. She is survived by four daughters,
Evelyn (Mrs. Murray Teed), Belmont; Margaret (Mrs. Burchell MacDonald),
Salmon River; Helen (Mrs. Philip Lennerton), Old Barns; Mrs. Dorothy Works,
Truro; three sisters, Mrs. Vivian Yorke and Mrs. Margaret Michaud, both of
Parrsboro; Mrs. Gertrude Cochrane, Kentville; two brothers, Cecil and
Edward, both of Parrsboro; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, George; one son, John; one brother,
Lloyd; and one foster son, William. The body is at Mattatall's Funeral Home,
Truro, where the funeral will be held Thursday, 4 p.m., Cannon Walter Harris
officiating. Spring burial will be in Watson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
