George Thomas Rushton, born Springhill

I think the reason George and his brother, Clarence are buried in St. John's
Anglican Cemetery, Diligent River is his maternal grandparents (Clarence
Freeman Brown & Etta May Lewis) retired to Diligent River from Springhill.

OBITUARY: George T. Rushton
George Thomas Rushton, 40, Fairview, died Tuesday in Parrsboro. Born in
Springhill, he was a son of Mrs. Rita Walsh and the late Ross Herbert
Rushton. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served in the navy
for five years. Besides his mother, he is survived by his step-father,
Thomas Walsh; three sons, Peter Church, Halifax; Troy and Neil Rushton, both
of Middleton; a brother, Clarence, Dorchester; and a nephew. The body is in
Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where the funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Fund.
