Obit (2005) - Helen Gibson (nee Skidmore)

GIBSON, Helen Roberta (nee Skidmore) - It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Gibson, in her 82nd year, on Monday, April 18, 2005, at the Scarborough Centenary Hospital. Dearest wife and best friend of Herbert "Bud" Gibson, loving mother to Judy (Lloyd), Margaret and Sandra, and proud grandmother of Mark and Derek. Helen was born March 13, 1924 in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, the youngest of six. Helen graduated from Business College in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia in 1942, and worked for Canadian Car and Foundry. In 1943, she went to work for the war effort, building Anson and Mosquito airplanes. Helen and Bud were married in 1949 and enjoyed an active life in the Canadian Air Force. Helen was a hard working member of Agincourt Baptist Church. Special thanks to all in the Oncology Department at Scarborough Centenary Hospital. Friends may visit at the OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy
Rd.) on Thursday, April 21, 2005 between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Agincourt Baptist Church, 37 Glen Watford Drive, on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Highland Memory Gardens.
