JUNE ELAINE "JUNE BUG."- Northport, NS
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mum "June
Bug" on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health
Care Centre in Upper Nappan, surrounded by her children. Born in Alma,
NB, on August 2, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Carmen and Bertha
Mae (Williamson) Lowerison. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt,
grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Her passions were her
family, her home in Northport, a good joke, feeding the birds, the
beach, the love of her daily crossword puzzles and crytograms. June
graduated from Mount Allison Academy and worked at Canada Car, assisting
the war effort-followed by secretarial position at Amherst Town Hall.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bob; sisters,
Evelyn and Helen; and brother, Junior. June is survived by her "kids,"
Heather MacDougall, Amherst, Robin MacNeil-Ward, New Glasgow, NS, Mary
Jane MacNeil, Amherst and Scott MacNeil, Abu Dhabi, UAE; siblings,
Shirley, Everett, Connie, Kenneth, Blair, Dean and Jeannie; grandsons,
Rod MacDougall (Sandra), and Mark MacDougall; great grandson, Connor
MacDougall; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's
Funeral Home, Amherst. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday,
December 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Angus Cemetery, Northport.
Memorial donations in June's memory may be made to the Palliative Unit
of Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or charity of your choice. We
would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Northumberland Hall,
where mum resided from March until the time of her passing. A deep felt
gratitude to Dr. Bobadilla, Nurses and Staff of Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre as well as the Palliative Care Team for their
wonderful passionate care. On-line guest book may be signed via:
