Re: Obit: BROWN, Robert W

David,

The school teacher would have been the next brother, Allan; I am not certain if he continued within the vocation. I know that Paul attented university with a history major but last I heard he was associated with a university (may have achieved a docterate) but that was many years ago; lastly, Ernest, the youngest did a music major but I am not aware of his vocation.

Great family and quite close. The location of their home was a great place to play street hockey; that is something I recall quite vividly especially when I read stories today about kids not permitted to play in so many places due to traffic or neighbourhood sensitivies.

Was he a school teacher around 1970-1971?

Greg,

You are correct with location and family; been there many times with Bob's
younger brothers.
Bob's dad, Robert Harris the son of William Henry Brown and Florence "Lily" Mae
McPhee; William Henry the son of George James Brown and Elizabeth Erwin
McAloney.

Robert Harris passed away at Camphill Hospital 15 June 1991.

Dave
Thought he may have lived at the top of the Hansen Hill . Just before the
Little Forks River, there is a road that goes to the right if you are headed
towards Amherst. There was a Robert Brown who lived at the end of that road
who

I collected money from during my Halaifax Herald Paper route many moons ago.
Greg

Hi Greg:

Gets scary; I went through high school with Bob and we were in Grade XIB
together. I have him as Robert William Brown from my SHS Yearbook, born 17
Feb 1943. He was from Springhill Junction, and lived just on the Amherst
side of the train underpass of the Springhill Amherst Highway if I
remember correctly from 50 years ago.

Sorry, I don¹t know who his paternal grandparents were.

Dave
