OBITUARY:
Lloyd, James - 78, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Hillside, died
Monday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Joggins Mines, Cumberland
County, he was a son of the late James and Clara (Redmond) Lloyd. He was a
member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. He is survived by a son,
Perry, New Glasgow; a daughter, Betty (Mrs. Bob Moore), Moncton, N.B.; a
brother, William, Hamilton, Ont.; two sisters, Evelyn Doyle, Toronto; Marion
Skidmore, Stellarton; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his wife, the former Delvina Poirier; five sisters, Jennie,
Irvine, Gertrude, Annie, Laura; a brother, Cecil. The body is in H.W.
MacQuarrie Funeral Home, New Glasgow, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral
will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. Spring burial
will be in church cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer
Society.
