Obit: PYKE, James D "Bud"

James "Bud" D. Pyke, 77, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The
Moncton Hospital on Sunday, September 12, 2010. Born in Springhill, NS,
he was the son of the late Alpheus and Jean (Hawker) Pyke. Bud was
retired from Burnett's Oil-Electric Ltd. He enjoyed raising birds
(canaries, finches, cockatoos) and technology, especially computers and
gadgets; but first and foremost he thoroughly enjoyed spending precious
time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Bud will be sadly
missed by his wife, Evelyn Pyke (MacLeod); his loving children, Carol
McCleary (Tom), Lakeside, Westmorland Co., David LeBlanc, Cheryll Duff,
both of Moncton and Joe LeBlanc (Louise), Westmorland Co.;
grandchildren, Darryll and Greg McCleary, Nicholas, Brittany and
Elizabeth LeBlanc, Michael and Ashley Martel, Guillaume and Remi
Arseneau; great grandchildren, Vanessa, Dawson and Hunter McCleary,
Alexendre Arseneau; brother, Greg Pyke (Debbie), Truro, NS; sister,
Karen Wood (Laurie), Springhill Junction, NS; several nieces, nephews
and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by his sisters, Margie and Betty. Visitation at Ferguson
Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson
Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 16, 2010, 11:00 am,
Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception
Centre following the service. Interment, Stilesville Cemetery,
Stilesville, NB. In Bud's memory, donations to the Friends of the
Moncton Hospital or a memorial of the donor's choice would be

His stepmother was the former Thelma Kathleen Meekins.

I have him m/1 1952-11-22 to Gwyneth Ellis Holloway. Two children are
listed with surname 'LeBlanc" but I have no explanation, not do I know
which children belong to which wife.
